Upcoming Parla Food Events

This spring and summer I have some fun events in store. Things kick off June 2 with my 10-year college reunion at Yale where I will be speaking at the Class of 2002 Entrepreneurs panel about app and e-book publishing. (I hope to find time to prepare between burgers at Louis’ and slices of clam pizza at BAR!) A few days later, I will be hosting an Italian craft beer dinner in NYC (book directly with Bistro de la Gare). Back in Rome, there will be two ice cream happy hours at Il Gelato di Claudio Torce’ in Piazza Monte d’Oro from 6-8pm on June 16 and July 14. RSVP on Facebook. Finally, in September, I will be a speaker at the two-day Hands on L’Aquila bloggers conference in Abruzzo. Keep up with Parla Food events over on my professional site here.

I was so tempted to sign up for the 4th but I kept feeling like that day was familiar. I finally realized I have an Obama event that night. On another note, I’m so happy my travel dates coincide with one of the gelato events in Rome. Yeah!

my husband and a good friend are eating our way through Rome in September for a week. I will purchase your app this week. We then have another week and a half. we have seen Rome (never enough), Florence, Venice. Any suggestions of other places you particularly love? We leave from Milan. we’ve been to Todi, Orvietto,
Sienna, Perugia. we love Art, food and wine, and people. We garden, and might enjoy agriturismo, and we are on moderate budget. I’m really attracted to the truilli and rocky landscape in Puglia, but since we leave from Milan I think we need to head north. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
