If you see one exhibition in Rome this year, let it be “I Borghese e l’Antico”, which runs through April 9, 2012. Read more about it on NYT.com here and find booking information (reservations are essential) here.

My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon in Rome in 2009. We were there for two weeks and the Borghese Gallery was the last thing we went to the night before our flight out, specifically so that I could see a few more Caravaggio paintings. We were blown away by everything and both loved this statue as well. I can’t wait for my next trip out there *one day* but hopefully in the next few years.
