This month Time Out’s Italy: Perfect places to stay, eat & explore was released. I wrote the chapter on the Langhe region, the enogastronomic paradise in Piedmont known for its nebbiolo-based wines like Barolo and Barbaresco, as well as for its incredible cuisine. I made my first trip to the Langhe back in 2005 with my dad and immediately we were hooked. I have made it a habit to return as frequently as possible to enjoy some of Italy’s best food and wine. You can purchase the book here.

i can’t WAIT to check this out!!!!! why am i so excited? because i know the langhe chapter will be big bite of brilliance written by a true pro. katie parla gave my family a tour of rome that we will never forget. she is a gifted speaker and a goldmine of knowledge. she also is one good lookin’ american babe. the only thing that i regret about katie parla is that she can’t be the tourguide of, not only cities in italia, but of my entire life!
August 31st, 2008 at 10:55 pmThanks Vida! Yeah the book is pretty sweet. A lot of guide books have been turning into destination guides with rough info about a lot of places instead of a lot of in depth info about a single place. Ill let you know if i branch out into life coaching:)
August 31st, 2008 at 10:58 pmThanks, Katie! Can’t wait to have it in my hands. If it has only half of the tips you’ve given for Naples and Rome itself it will be awesome! And congratulations for the website – I still find it useful, even after living in and studying Rome for 4 years…
