Just a few blocks from Campo dei Fiori, La Fiaschetta is an alternative to the sometimes rowdy or obnoxious scene that typifies Campo, particularly on weekend nights. At La Fiaschetta, locals meet for a bottle of wine or artisanal brew over a cheese or salami plate and enjoy the relative calm that the pub-cum-wine bar has to offer. The owner Giuliano is a diehard surfer (the surfshop on Corso Vittorio Emanuele is his other endeavor) so expect to see surfing videos playing on the screens in the bar’s front room. If you have an aversion to television or a fear of water, there is a back room outfitted with a few booths.

The wine list features a selection of well-chosen bottles from all over Italy while the artisinal beer selection offers both domestic and international options. There is a nightly happy hour that starts at 7.
