Katie Parla holds a BA in the History of Art from Yale University, a Master’s Degree in Italian Gastronomic Culture from the Università degli Studi di Roma “Tor Vergata”, and a sommelier certificate from the Federazione Italiana Sommelier Albergatori Ristoratori. She has written books for National Geographic Society, Time Out, Rough Guides, Dorling Kindersley, Fodor’s, and Insight Guides, is a regular contributor to The New York Times, and is the author of Parla Food and a Rome dining app.
